We currently have two papers that focus on local stories: The Bedford Sackville Weekly News and The Bedford-Sackville Community Herald. That will no longer be the case in the near future because of the deal that was just announced (check above link).
I really hope this does not mean Sackville and surrounding areas will get half the stories written it currently gets now. Both papers do a good job covering hard and a lot of not so hard news and local interest stories. It’s never a good thing to have all, or most, of the media eggs in one basket but unfortunately that’s the way the cookie crumbles in these rough times in print media.
Here’s hoping the Chronicle Herald can keep those displaced employees working and keep the volume of articles up. We will share and read ’em!

Maybe it’s time to ramp up the ‘ol blog…
