Cyclist Who Crossed Canada Raising Money For Abused/Homeless Pets Gets Money Stolen.

UPDATE: It has been returned! WOOT!
OK, I get this post from Ross on my Sackvegas Facebook page about Frank Sapach and what he’s up to and think “very cool!”

I was planning on firing up a blog post about him in the morning and all of a sudden this happens in Mt. Uniacke:

This is not the type of blog post I was planning on posting. There are a lot of good folks out in Mt. Uniacke and the word should spread quickly.   Please share this one around and hopefully someone will do the right thing. Here is a link to Frank’s Facebook Page if you want to send him some thoughts.

“If anyone knows the where about of this mans property that they can call or text me and I will pick it up, no questions asked and make sure it gets returned to him.. My cell is 902-430-7511.

If they want, they can put it somewhere and call or text with the location. They dont have to meet me in person. I just want this mans property returned to him.”

Violent Robbery In upper #Sackville This Morning. 2 Arrested.

Below is a release from the RCMP. This explains the heavy police presence around Kent this morning:

“Halifax District RCMP is investigating a robbery with violence that occurred earlier this morning on Colgrove Ave.

Sackvegas Pizza Saga Continues: Mom’s Pizza Is Closed

Well, looks like another pizza shop has come and gone. Mom’s is now in darkness. This is two in the last couple months with Papa Mario’s closing a while back.

The pizza market here seems to have a few big guns which hang around and others

seem to just come and go. I’ll have to take a look and see how many we are down to now. If anyone else decides to set up I strongly suggest they bring something a little different to the table – maybe whole slices of green pepper and actual bacon again!

I have had conversations with a few biz ppl and won’t be surprised if something else pops up in the near future, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Anyway, best of luck to “Mom” and I tip my cap to you for giving it a whirl here.

Sackville Women’s Fun League Is Looking For Softball Players.

Purdy’s Pub And Grill Has Closed Up Shop. #Sackville

Looks like Purdy’s is gone. Geez, how long were they open? Just a few months?  I woke up to several messages today about the closure, their Fbook page is gone and I tried to call but It went to voicemail.

It sucks to see places close and people lose jobs. Here’s to everyone involved moving on and finding prosperity.

I’m curious – how many different businesses have been in that end of that building?
